For serum and plasma samples the sample preparation consists of a single pipetting step. The sample matrix is removed by precipitation while the internal standard IS (d3-MMA) is added. Urine samples can be injected directly after dilution and IS addition. The subsequent LC-MS/MS analysis is performed within a 2 min injection interval only. The isobar component succinic acid, which may interfere with MMA, is separated reliably to avoid false positive results. Calibration and quality control is performed in a convenient and cost-efficient way. The method is fully validated using only one (serum) calibration and control set for all three sample matrices (ClinCal® 4-Level Calibrator Set and ClinChek® Controls)

Dear Customer, the ClinMass® Complete Kit for the determination of MMA in Serum/Plasma/Urine, order no. MS5100, was revised. The sensitivity of this method was significantly improved by changing to new mobile phases.
Starting 1 March 2021: new mobile phases with order nos. MS5208 and MS5209
The switch to the new mobile phases MS5208/MS5209 requires a new gradient (ref. page 9, table 3: gradient programme, instruction manual, version 3.1). All other kit components, the sample preparation and the analytical separation column remain unchanged.
Please find enclosed the instruction manual MS5100, version 3.1.
Please note that the previous mobile phases MS5108/MS5109 are not combinable with the new phases MS5208/MS5209. The mobile phases MS5108 and MS5109 will still be available upon request until end of April. In case you wish to order the products MS5108/MS5109 after March 1st 2021, please explicitly mark this on your purchasing order, also when ordering the complete kit MS5100.
