Determination of 5-aminolevulinic acid and porphobilinogen from 24-hours urine (photometric test)
The complete kit for the determination of 5-Aminolevulinic Acid 5-ALA and Porphobilinogen PBG in Urine, order nos. 17200 and 17300, was revised.
NEW: Sample preparation columns for PBG
The recovery for PBG has improved by using a different resin for the sample preparation columns, order no. 17320. All other kit components and the testing procedure remain unchanged.
NEW kit component: Urine Calibrator 17213m
The ClinCal® Urine Calibrator order no. 17213m, 1 x 5 ml, is now included in the kit without extra charge.
NEW: Evaluation with Urine Calibrator
Reliable values require a matrix-adapted calibration. By the preparation of the urine calibrator analogous to your samples, systematic fluctuations in the sample preparation and influences by different lots and matrix effects are well adjusted. The matrix calibration increases the amount of samples, but the results will be more accurate and reproducible compared to the numeric evaluation.
When: starting 1 April 2019
The new sample preparation columns for PBG, order no. 17320, will be shipped starting 1 April 2019. From there on, the new columns 17320 will be also part of the complete kits 17200 and 17300.
